The fact is the company expense report is a chore most people wish they didn't have to do. It is also time-consuming and costly. Without proper receipts, it is almost impossible or too troublesome to work around.
The idea is to build an iOS and Android app that can scan receipts via the phone's camera, recognize text using optical character recognition (OCR), categorize, and store them in the cloud. At the end of every month, it will generate an expense report with proper receipts. Users can then review and submit to Accounting.
Companies can utilize real-time reports to track overall company level expenses and adjust when necessary.
