Do you hate traffic? Is there a simple way to beat bottle-neck traffic?
It doesn't help that everyone will subconsciously head out to work at the same time. Most people don't give enough thought to this and won't realize it until they are in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Imagine if you shift the time you head out, so you avoid the most congested time. Wouldn't that be great? But how would you know what time would be the most optimal?
The idea is to build a mobile application that tells you the best time to drive to work.
The app will ask you to enter the location of your home and your workplace. It will then map out possible routes between those two locations. Next, it will use historical traffic data to predict future traffic for those routes for that day.
After that, it will use the predicted data to simulate time and distances for these routes and varying the starting times.
Finally, it will give a list of the most optimal time for heading out.
